Supply Chain Coordinator

GerTEK is an engineering consultancy company specialising in solutions to the life sciences and technology and construction sectors.

We are seeking a Supply Chain Master Data Analyst to work with us for a pharmaceutical client in Mayo.

Summary:

The Supply Chain Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials and information within our pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This role involves close collaboration with internal departments (production, quality assurance, etc.) and external partners (suppliers, distributors) to maintain optimal inventory levels, meet production demands, and adhere to strict regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities:

  • Demand Planning & Forecasting: Analyze historical data, production schedules, and market trends to forecast material requirements.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels of raw materials, packaging components, and finished goods to prevent shortages and overstocking. Optimize inventory turnover.
  • Procurement: Execute purchase orders, track shipments, and liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials while adhering to quality standards and cost targets.
  • Production Planning: Coordinate with production teams to schedule manufacturing runs based on demand forecasts and material availability.
  • Logistics & Distribution: Manage the movement of finished goods to distribution centers or customers, ensuring compliance with GDP (Good Distribution Practices) guidelines.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records of all supply chain activities, ensuring compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and other relevant regulations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to optimize supply chain processes, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in a supply chain role, preferably within a regulated industry (pharmaceuticals, food, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles, forecasting techniques, and production planning.
  • Familiarity with GMP, GDP, and other relevant quality standards.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
