The QA/QC Supervisor is a critical role responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met throughout the entire data center construction/expansion lifecycle. This individual will work with quality assurance and quality control activities, from the initial design phase through to project completion and handover. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of data center infrastructure, construction methodologies, and relevant industry standards, coupled with excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement QA/QC Plans:
- Create and implement comprehensive QA/QC plans specific to each data center construction/expansion project.
- Define quality standards, procedures, and documentation requirements in alignment with industry best practices and client specifications.
- Establish clear inspection and testing protocols for all critical systems and components (electrical, mechanical, HVAC, fire suppression, etc.).
- Oversee Inspections and Testing:
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor construction progress and ensure adherence to approved plans and specifications.
- Witness and verify the execution of quality control checks and tests performed by subcontractors and vendors.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, test results, and any identified deficiencies.
- Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs):
- Initiate and track NCRs for any deviations from quality standards or contract requirements.
- Collaborate with construction teams and subcontractors to develop and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure timely resolution of NCRs and verify the effectiveness of corrective measures.
- Risk Management and Mitigation:
- Proactively identify potential quality risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Analyze quality data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of risk management plans.
- Collaboration and Communication:
- Foster strong working relationships with project managers, construction teams, subcontractors, and client representatives.
- Effectively communicate quality requirements and expectations to all stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates and reports on QA/QC activities and project status.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay abreast of industry best practices, new technologies, and evolving quality standards.
- Identify opportunities to enhance QA/QC processes and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of company-wide quality management systems.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Proven experience in QA/QC / Quality / Construction Industry
